About
A local firm, in a town that makes things
We work Loughborough, Charnwood and the Soar valley. That is a deliberately small patch, and it is why a single room at Barrow gets the same thought as a four-bed at Nanpantan — there is no dead leg eating the morning.
What we do
Household removals mostly — whole houses across LE11 and LE12 and out of the county, flat moves, man-and-van work at the smaller end, and a large amount of student work driven by the university calendar. Plus packing to whatever depth you want, storage, and moves that carry on into France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
We also take small commercial work: offices in the town centre, units on the industrial estates, and studio and workshop space.
Why a small patch
Because the local knowledge is the service. Knowing that the terraces off Ashby Road fill with parked cars by mid-morning, that the student houses release on fixed days so the whole street moves at once, that half the Charnwood lanes will not pass a full-size vehicle without a look first — none of that is available to a firm covering the whole East Midlands.
It also means small jobs are worth doing properly. A firm driving in from Leicester or Nottingham has to charge for the driving. We do not.
Borrowing the local standard
Loughborough is a town that makes things. The bell foundry has been casting here for generations and the university turns out engineers by the thousand. Neither of those has anything to do with removals, but the method is worth stealing: measure first, plan the sequence, then do the work once.
In practice that means we survey before we price, we put the scope in writing, and we load the vehicle in the order it needs to come off rather than the order it leaves the house.
How we work
We look first
On anything above a single room, somebody looks at the place — at the door or on a video call — before a number is written down. It costs nothing and it is the only way to get volume and access right.
Quotes in writing
Measured volume, crew, vehicle, packing depth, and what cover applies. If you are comparing us with someone else, those are the things to compare rather than the headline number.
One point of contact
The person who takes your details is the person who knows the job when you ring three weeks later.
Protection as standard
Blankets, covers, door-frame and floor protection — and protection for shared hallways and staircases in student houses and conversions, because those belong to other people.
What we do not do
We do not quote before we understand the job. We do not promise a transit time we cannot stand behind. We do not take on a property without establishing that we can physically reach it — which in the Charnwood lanes is a real question rather than a formality. And we do not claim awards, accreditations, press coverage or customer numbers we have not got; if it is not on this site, it is because it is not true yet.
Cover
Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies. The contractual position is on the terms page.
Getting hold of us
The quote form is quickest. Contact has the rest, questions covers what comes up first, and areas we cover shows exactly where our ground runs out.
Next step
Tell us about the move
Both addresses, roughly what is going, and your dates if you have them. We will arrange a survey and come back with a written quote.
